Handbag Designer

About the role

The Handbag Designer will lead the creation of new handbag collections, from trend research through to final production, ensuring the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trend, competitor, material and trim research for upcoming collections.
• Develop handbag designs, CAD drawings, tech packs, branding elements, packaging and trims.
• Coordinate with suppliers on design development, sampling and production queries.
• Review prototypes, pre‑production and production samples, providing quality‑control feedback.
• Prepare and present collections during product performance meetings and showroom reviews.
• Finalize styles for order placement and create order sheets/specifications.
• Manage e‑commerce and campaign photoshoots from planning to final image selection and approval.
• Perform store visits to gather market insights, competitor analysis and product performance data.
• Maintain showroom displays and organize sample inventory.
