Global Markets & Policy Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the Global Markets & Policy (GM&P) Commercial Finance team within Amgen India, building a high‑performing finance capability that supports Amgen’s global commercial organization. You will initially manage a team of about seven finance professionals and expand the organization over time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead revenue and operating expense planning and forecasting in partnership with global, regional and local finance teams.
• Establish standardized, scalable planning and analytical processes across commercial organizations while allowing product, market and regional flexibility.
• Deliver high‑quality financial analysis and business insights on revenue performance, commercial investments, productivity and resource allocation.
• Build capabilities that leverage automation, advanced analytics, AI and standardized data to improve forecast quality and reduce manual effort.
• Define governance, controls and service expectations for the Amgen India finance team and its global partners.
• Recruit, develop and coach a pipeline of finance talent, creating opportunities for deeper commercial and financial expertise.

Required profile

• Chartered accountant, Cost Accountant, CPA or a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration.
• 18+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or related finance disciplines.
• Proven experience building, scaling or transforming finance teams in a global, matrixed environment.
• Strong leadership, talent‑development and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders worldwide.
