About the role

Join Barclays as a GenAI Developer and help drive the evolution of our digital landscape. You will support the delivery of location‑strategy projects while leveraging cutting‑edge generative AI technologies to create innovative, customer‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high‑quality software solutions using industry‑aligned languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and performance‑optimized.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and align solutions with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and share knowledge with peers.
• Stay current with technology trends and contribute to internal tech communities.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect data and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Implement effective unit testing to guarantee reliability and readability of code.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in AI/ML and software engineering.
• Deep understanding of the principles behind generative AI, LLMs, and related technologies.
• Ability to lead or mentor a team when required, demonstrating clear leadership behaviours.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and high‑quality delivery.
