Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

The Food & Beverage Attendant ensures the smooth operation of dining areas by completing closing duties, maintaining cleanliness, and providing courteous service to guests. This full‑time position supports Marriott’s commitment to hospitality excellence in Pune.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑of‑shift closing tasks: store reusable goods, break down supplies, clean equipment, lock refrigerators, restock items, turn off lights and doors, and complete the daily cleaning checklist.
• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas throughout the shift.
• Inspect and ensure the cleanliness and presentation of china, glassware, and silverware before use.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to Marriott standards, speak clearly, and answer telephone calls with proper etiquette.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards, and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and use stairs or service ramps.
• Fine motor skills for handling objects of varying size and weight.
• Willingness to follow uniform, confidentiality, and safety standards.
