Engineering Associate

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Associate to handle guest repair requests and maintain the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at our Chennai facility. The role combines preventive maintenance, quick troubleshooting and hands‑on repairs to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical rooms and building systems.
• Visually inspect equipment, identify and operate shut‑off valves, and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
• Carry out basic repairs: painting, drywall, wood trim, light bulbs, A/C filters, TV programming, landscaping and sprinkler systems.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic/electronic and carpentry items.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, including proper storage of flammable materials.

Required profile

• Ability to acquire and apply basic knowledge in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic, carpentry and energy‑conservation systems.
• Physical capability to lift/move objects up to 50 lb and assist with heavier items.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Commitment to safety procedures and teamwork.
