Driver (3501-9000 kg) – TimberCity, Vereeniging

About the role

We are looking for a reliable driver to join our TimberCity team in Vereeniging. The role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to our store clients, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle care and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver goods to designated stores and clients, handling items with care to avoid breakages or shortages.
• Pack and secure the vehicle’s load neatly before each trip.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Assist and supervise loading operations to ensure correct quantities and supplies.
• Maintain the vehicle, perform routine checks, and work to reduce operating costs.
• Handle delivery documentation, authorizations, and collect cash‑on‑delivery payments.
• Provide courteous customer service and represent the company’s values on the road.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Valid Code 10 (Heavy Vehicle) or Code 8 (Light Vehicle) licence for vehicles up to 9000 kg.
• At least 2 years of relevant driving experience.
