Director of Sales and Marketing

About the role

The Director of Sales and Marketing is a full‑time, on‑site role based at Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden Hotel in Pune District. This role leads the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to drive room revenue, events, and food‑and‑beverage performance while strengthening the hotel’s brand presence in local and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the sales and marketing teams, set targets and monitor performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners and key accounts.
• Collaborate with revenue management, operations and F&B leadership to create integrated campaigns, promotional packages and market initiatives.
• Analyse market trends and oversee both digital and traditional marketing activities.
• Ensure consistent brand standards across all channels and materials.
• Prepare regular reports and forecasts for senior management.

Required profile

• Strong sales and business development skills with a proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue targets.
• Experience in sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting and performance tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate multidisciplinary sales and marketing teams.
• Excellent customer service focus and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
• Background in hospitality or luxury hotels with knowledge of local and international market dynamics.
• Competence in marketing strategy, brand positioning and digital marketing channels.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills; proficiency with CRM and sales reporting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Pune District and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
