DevOps Engineer - AWS

About the role

Gartner IT is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join its Cloud and DevOps team. You will work closely with architects, software engineers, and operations teams to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS‑based cloud infrastructure and multi‑region environments.
• Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and application deployment.
• Develop Python automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure management, deployment, and monitoring.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Jenkins, and related tools.
• Ensure cloud security, compliance, and governance throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources to meet service level objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Participate in capacity planning, load testing, incident response, and after‑hours production support.
• Research new cloud technologies and drive continuous improvement in automation, cost optimization, and performance.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud operations, or DevOps.
• Strong collaboration skills with software engineering and operations teams.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
