Deputy Manager – FP&A & Business Controlling

About the role

The Deputy Manager will join the FP&A / Business Controlling team in Mumbai, supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis. You will partner with cross‑functional stakeholders and senior management to provide data‑driven insights that guide strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare business plans, forecasts and management estimates, and conduct P&L simulations.
• Drive monthly closing, MIS reporting and variance analysis across products, regions, customers and channels.
• Analyse sales and profitability, support fixed‑cost management and steer overall business plan/forecast.
• Develop financial presentations and strategic materials for management reviews.
• Act as finance business partner, providing insights for strategic decisions and performing financial modelling, including transfer‑pricing adjustments.
• Collaborate on controlling systems, SAP HANA/IT initiatives and continuous improvement of reporting tools.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 1–3 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in FP&A, Business Controlling or Management Reporting.
• Strong understanding of corporate strategy, finance and taxation concepts, IFRS basics and cost accounting principles.

Required skills

• SAP FICO module, especially COPA, and SAP HANA.
• Advanced MS Office (Excel) skills.
• Power BI and Tableau for data visualisation.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards (Revenue, Fixed Assets, Employee Costs).
• Cost accounting techniques: budgeting, standard costing and variance analysis.
