Data Scientist – Applied Data Science

About the role

As a Data Scientist at Reliance Retail, you will tackle high‑impact, applied data science problems across both online and offline commerce. You will work within thematic clusters that span customer intelligence, supply‑chain optimization, store operations, and next‑gen AI platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy models for search ranking, recommendations, and personalization.
• Perform customer profiling, segmentation, LTV, churn, and loyalty analysis.
• Optimize acquisition, engagement, retention, and lifecycle strategies.
• Drive marketing effectiveness through attribution, uplift testing, and experimentation.
• Implement dynamic pricing, markdown optimization, and promotion personalization.
• Enhance margin and revenue intelligence through advanced analytics.
• Support demand planning, forecasting, inventory replenishment, and network planning at scale.
• Improve store efficiency, labor optimization, planogram intelligence, and loss‑prevention measures.
• Build intelligent decision engines, agentic systems, and reusable ML platforms.
