Custom Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Custom Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain bespoke software solutions that meet specific business requirements. The role involves working with modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver high‑performance, scalable applications from concept through production and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and document custom software components across multiple systems.
• Perform unit, integration, UI, performance, and automated testing, including test‑automation scripts.
• Develop and optimise database schemas and queries.
• Maintain build pipelines, related infrastructure, and middleware.
• Apply clean‑code principles, conduct peer reviews, and engage in pair programming.
• Identify optimisation, refactoring, and synergy opportunities.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, analysts, and other stakeholders for feature planning and domain insight.
• Provide third‑level support, monitor production artefacts, and manage releases.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• At least 15 years of full‑time education.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to software craftsmanship and quality.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
