About the role

The Credit Manager will lead risk and credit operations for retail transactions in Chennai, ensuring portfolio quality and compliance with established frameworks. Acting as the “ears on the ground,” the role involves direct interaction with customers and on‑site property visits to assess creditworthiness.

Key responsibilities

• Execute risk and credit operations for assigned retail transactions following company guidelines.
• Conduct on‑site property inspections and evaluate legal and valuation documents.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Risk teams to align underwriting decisions with business growth objectives.
• Identify and mitigate construction‑related risks for under‑construction projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of state‑wise regulations and ensure compliance.
• Prepare credit assessments and present findings to senior management.

Required profile

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk management and business expansion.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in retail credit underwriting and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with legal and valuation frameworks in the housing sector.
