Consultant – Tax & Global Compliance (TMT) – New Delhi

About the role

EY is seeking a Consultant to join its Tax – Global Compliance & Reporting team in New Delhi, focusing on Technology, Media, Telecom (TMT) clients. The role supports senior staff in delivering tax advisory, compliance, and reporting services across a range of corporate tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist seniors in responding to client queries on corporate tax issues such as capital gains, tax payments and income‑tax return preparation.
• Conduct technical research on Indian income‑tax provisions that affect client taxation.
• Prepare submissions for assessment and appellate proceedings and support seniors during representation before tax authorities.
• Participate in client meetings and appear before income‑tax authorities as required.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in finance, accounting, law or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in tax, compliance and reporting for TMT‑focused businesses.
• Ability to work under senior guidance, manage multiple client queries and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Indian Income Tax Act and related regulations.
