Component Engineer – eAxle (Mechanical Design)

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Component Engineer to lead the mechanical design of eAxle components and assemblies. You will be responsible for ensuring that parts are production‑ready, meet functional requirements and stay within budget. The role combines detailed design work with close collaboration across engineering, suppliers and internal committees.

Key responsibilities

• Design eAxle components (e‑machine, transmission, power electronics, DC‑DC, charger) with a focus on manufacturability, especially pressure die‑casting.
• Develop concepts, perform design calculations and create detailed drawings based on manufacturing specifications.
• Lead the release of work products, including material specifications, norms, production instructions and deviation approvals.
• Act as the main technical interface with suppliers and internal groups for component integration.
• Evaluate design changes for impact on functionality, assembly, quality, cost and schedule using DRBFM and FMEA.
• Maintain or improve component cost targets and prepare documentation for change processes (CCB/ECM).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech) in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with product development phases and sample validation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in UG NX for 3D modeling.
• Good knowledge of SAP for release handling.
• Application of GD&T principles.
• Experience with DRBFM and FMEA methodologies.
