Chef de Partie – Garde Manger

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a motivated Chef de Partie specialized in Garde Manger to join its kitchen team in Pune. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality cold dishes, managing inventory, and supporting the culinary team during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold dishes and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; pull and thaw food safely.
• Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, and ensure food quality and quantity.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food to chefs and service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report maintenance needs and incidents.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect company assets.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant kitchen experience, preferably in Garde Manger.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work extended periods standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lb.
