Buyer – Site & Business Services (Hyderabad)

About the role

BASF SE is seeking a Buyer to support procurement activities for its Global Digital and Global Business Service Centres in Hyderabad. The role will manage purchasing for large, complex sites and contribute to the development of category strategies across Site and Business Services.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement for BASF Global Digital and Global Business Service Centres.
• Manage procurement for offices and production sites, covering Facility Management, Fleet, HR Services, Marketing & Communications, and Legal.
• Develop, implement and monitor regional category strategies.
• Oversee contract implementation and performance monitoring.
• Drive category‑management initiatives to achieve cost efficiencies and value creation.
• Execute supplier management, including performance evaluation, relationship management and compliance with human‑rights standards.
• Manage Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes effectively.
• Monitor market dynamics, pricing trends and supply risks, providing updates to internal stakeholders.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, lead audits and onboarding activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and supplier management.
• Knowledge of category‑strategy development and implementation.
• Familiarity with contract management and performance monitoring.
• Understanding of human‑rights compliance within procurement processes.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end Procure‑to‑Pay cycles.
