Business Finance & Controllership Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Business Finance & Controllership Lead who will be the single point of accountability for the financial performance of our vertical business. The role combines financial planning, cost control and strategic analysis to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Drive monthly MIS, dashboards, and costing reviews with deep analytical insights.
• Support the Finance & Accounting Head in budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts and long‑range planning.
• Partner with business heads to translate strategy into business plans and execution metrics.
• Evaluate new business models, pricing strategies and go‑to‑market structures; conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, project and segment.
• Build controlling models for new initiatives, make‑vs‑buy decisions and scale‑up plans; perform IRR, NPV, breakeven and sensitivity analysis.
• Own product costing frameworks (standard, actual, variance) and monitor cost control across manufacturing/operations.
• Conduct periodic cost audits, identify cost leakage and drive cost‑reduction initiatives with operations and supply‑chain teams.
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation and ageing analysis in SAP; analyze inventory variances and improve working‑capital efficiency.
• Manage BOM‑level costing, validate new product costs before commercialization and collaborate with Engineering/R&D on design‑to‑cost opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and support internal/external audits.
