Assistant Manager - Risk Containment Unit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Risk Containment Unit will lead the risk and fraud management function for the Payments business of Bajaj Finance Limited. You will oversee the full lifecycle of risk, from onboarding checks to transaction monitoring and portfolio review, ensuring robust mitigation of merchant‑related threats.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end risk and fraud management for the Acquiring QR payments business.
• Conduct onboarding risk assessments, transaction monitoring and portfolio surveillance.
• Review daily risk‑triggered cases, verify business data, and take timely actions such as merchant deactivation or reactivation.
• Update systems with actions taken and prepare daily, weekly and monthly risk trend reports.
• Collaborate with business, operations and data teams to refine processes and implement new fraud controls.
• Make decisions on merchant quality based on transaction patterns and documentation.

Required profile

• Graduate or post‑graduate degree.
• 1‑2 years of experience in NBFC or bank environments, preferably in calling or document verification.
• Good understanding of payment business operations.
• Ability to monitor with high accuracy and respond quickly to special situations.
