Assistant Research Scientist I

About the role

The Assistant Research Scientist I will join the Innovation Campus in Navi Mumbai to support analytical testing and characterization of chemical compounds. This position plays a key part in generating high‑quality data for R&D projects while ensuring compliance with safety and documentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of chemicals using UPLC, GC, GC‑MS and LC‑MS techniques.
• Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot analytical instruments to guarantee optimal performance.
• Document experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks and periodic reports.
• Prepare standard operating procedures in collaboration with senior chemists and reporting managers.
• Collaborate with APR/P chemists, management, and suppliers to support project goals.
• Manage project‑related inventories and adhere to BASF safety norms.

Required profile

• Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Analytical Chemistry.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise data.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset and willingness to drive innovation.
