About the role
The Assistant Human Resources Manager will support the efficient operation of the Personnel Department at Hyatt Regency Chennai, aligning daily activities with Hyatt International's corporate strategies and brand standards. This role works closely with the Director of Human Resources to embed Hyatt's People Philosophy across all hotel functions.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in managing HR operations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management processes.
- Handle employee relations issues and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate regular reports for senior management.
- Collaborate with department heads to address staffing needs and workforce planning.
Required profile
- University degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Hospitality/Tourism Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an Assistant HR Manager or Personnel Manager role within a large operation.
- Strong problem‑solving, administrative and interpersonal abilities.
