Application Developer

About the role

Barclays is seeking an Application Developer to drive the evolution of its infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Based in Pune, you will use modern technologies to build, manage, and secure scalable digital solutions that support the bank’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high‑quality software using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and performance‑optimized.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and integrate solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, promote best practices, and share knowledge across teams.
• Stay current with industry trends and contribute to internal technology communities.
• Apply secure coding standards and implement comprehensive unit testing.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in building REST APIs and working with Oracle databases.
• Hands‑on experience with JUnit testing.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, collaborative environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and technical excellence.
