Engineering Manager – AI Agents

About the role

Goldcast is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead two pods focused on AI Agents that power the content homepage, video editor, and related AI initiatives. You will own end‑to‑end outcomes, partner with Product and Design, and raise engineering quality across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage up to two engineering pods, planning, de‑risking, and delivering projects with strong SDLC and release rigor.
• Set and uphold standards for code quality, testing, observability, and operational readiness.
• Own engineering metrics, OKRs, and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to define roadmaps, scope, and prioritization for AI Agents on the homepage and editor.
• Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop engineers, fostering a high‑ownership culture.
• Lead cross‑team initiatives to improve processes, documentation, experimentation, and release planning at scale.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or tech‑lead role.
• Strong technical judgment in backend or full‑stack systems.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into clear plans and measurable outcomes.
• Experience establishing engineering standards and driving delivery across multiple workstreams.
