Accounts Executive – Zoho Books, GST & Import Accounting

About the role

You will own the books of a growing import‑and‑distribution business, handling every container, GST return and customer payment that passes through the finance desk. Reporting directly to the Director, you will work with live, cloud‑based Zoho systems rather than paper registers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting in Zoho Books: record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journals and debit/credit notes.
• Generate e‑invoices, e‑way bills and manage cancellations or amendments.
• Handle import accounting: book customs duty, IGST, landed cost and track foreign‑currency vendor payments.
• Prepare and reconcile GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B) and support quarterly TDS filings.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor receivables/payables and produce monthly MIS reports.
• Reconcile inter‑company transactions with the group concern.

Required profile

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or CA/CMA intermediate; 1‑3 years of hands‑on accounting in trading, distribution or manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of Zoho Books (or Tally Prime) and clear understanding of GST compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Good command of Tamil and English; Hindi or Telugu a plus.
