Wintel Administrator (L2)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Wintel Administrator (L2) to manage and support our data‑center infrastructure in Delhi. The role involves day‑to‑day administration of Windows servers, virtualization platforms, databases and network appliances, working closely with the broader infrastructure team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Active Directory, File Server, and web/application servers (IIS, Apache, Nginx).
• Administer VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter in a multi‑host, multi‑cluster environment – provisioning, migration, snapshots and resource allocation.
• Maintain physical server hardware (Dell PowerEdge, HP ProLiant) including iDRAC/ILO remote management.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot and back up database servers – MS‑SQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Handle server backups and vReplication for disaster recovery.
• Support monitoring tools such as Zabbix to track performance, uptime and alerts.
• Install and configure new Windows, Linux and desktop systems; troubleshoot related applications (VB, C#.NET, Node.js).
• Coordinate DMZ and LAN server management with network/security teams on firewalls, load balancers and VPN configurations.
• Assist with basic AWS public‑cloud tasks for hybrid/DR connectivity.
• Perform basic LAN/DMZ switch, WAN link troubleshooting and patch/firmware upgrades.
• Respond to escalated end‑user issues and maintain accurate documentation of inventory, IP allocations and network diagrams.

Required profile

• B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience as a Windows/Wintel Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) administration.
• Experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter administration.
• Familiarity with Dell PowerEdge, HP ProLiant hardware and remote management interfaces.
