Welding Foreman

About the role

The Welding Foreman will lead welding and grinding operations on metal components, ensuring work is performed to engineering specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. The role requires safe handling of welding equipment, high‑quality workmanship, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and ARC (SMAW) welding according to job requirements.
• Grind, smooth and finish welded joints to meet quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect welded parts for defects and verify dimensional accuracy.
• Operate welding machines, angle grinders and other fabrication tools safely.
• Maintain welding equipment and carry out basic daily maintenance.
• Follow production schedules and complete assigned work on time.
• Ensure compliance with company quality and safety procedures, wearing required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S) and report any equipment or safety issues.
• Assist with additional fabrication and production tasks as needed.

Required profile

• ITI Welder/Fitter, Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
• 1–3 years of relevant welding and grinding experience (freshers with training may be considered).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety.
