Web Development Specialist – Digital Engineering & MarTech

About the role

As a Web Development Specialist in Digital Engineering & MarTech, you will create and maintain high‑performing digital platforms that power Sovos’ global presence. You will blend deep CMS expertise with modern frontend development and marketing technology integrations to deliver seamless, data‑driven experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of WordPress and Drupal sites, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.
• Build modern, scalable frontend components using JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and optionally React.
• Architect and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, and headless/decoupled CMS solutions.
• Optimize websites for Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility, and overall performance.
• Partner with marketing, analytics, and design teams to implement tracking (GTM, GA4) and integrate CRM, marketing automation, and design systems.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Define and enforce best practices for code quality, security, scalability, and high availability.
• Maintain clear documentation for configuration, release, and deployment processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with WordPress and/or Drupal.
• Strong PHP (object‑oriented) background and CMS architecture knowledge.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).
• Experience designing REST APIs, headless CMS, and MySQL optimization.
• Understanding of performance, security, and accessibility standards.
• Hands‑on experience with analytics and MarTech tools such as GTM, GA4, Salesforce, Marketo or HubSpot.
