Web Developer – WordPress & PHP

About the role

Statice Media is looking for a Web Developer specialized in WordPress and PHP to build, customise, and maintain websites for the agency and its client brands. The position is full‑time and hybrid, allowing most days to be worked remotely with one day per week on‑site at a co‑working space in Central Bengaluru.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customise WordPress sites for internal projects and client brands.
• Create responsive pages using HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript and PHP.
• Edit custom WordPress themes, set up plugins, build page templates and configure forms.
• Handle front‑end adjustments such as layout fixes, styling, mobile responsiveness, and UI components.
• Perform back‑end tasks including PHP customisation, WordPress settings, basic database work and plugin troubleshooting.
• Set up and manage hosting environments (cPanel, domain mapping, DNS, SSL, backups, migrations).
• Coordinate staging‑to‑live launches and conduct post‑launch checks.
• Troubleshoot errors, broken layouts, speed issues, and other technical bugs.
• Collaborate with designers, content writers, SEO specialists and project managers to turn approved designs into functional sites.
• Maintain existing websites with updates, security checks, backups and minor enhancements.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in website development, preferably within an agency setting.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end website projects from setup to launch.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, SEO best practices and brand consistency.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and meeting delivery timelines.

What we offer

• CTC of 4.5 – 5.5 lacs INR per annum, based on skill, experience and portfolio quality.
