Warehouse Helper

About the role

The Warehouse Helper will support daily warehouse operations at Drums Food International in Chennai. This full‑time, on‑site position involves handling deliveries, organizing stock, and preparing orders for dispatch while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming deliveries.
• Organize inventory and maintain accurate stock records.
• Pack products, label items, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Stack and move materials safely using pallet jacks or forklifts (when trained).
• Maintain a clean and orderly storage environment.
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
• Support the warehouse team to meet production and distribution schedules.

Required profile

• Ability to perform basic shipping, receiving, and unloading tasks.
• Experience with product packing, labeling, and order preparation.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and willingness to obtain required certifications.
• Basic understanding of inventory organization in a fast‑moving consumer goods setting.
• Good physical stamina for lifting, moving, and stacking goods.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not mandatory.
