US Tax Reviewer

About the role

The US Tax Reviewer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of federal, state, and local tax returns prepared by the tax team. This position plays a key role in maintaining high‑quality tax deliverables and supporting junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Review US federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate and partnership) for accuracy and compliance.
• Verify that filings meet IRS regulations and state‑specific tax laws.
• Identify errors or discrepancies and recommend corrections before final submission.
• Provide technical feedback and guidance to tax preparers and junior team members.
• Stay current on US tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client queries and handle escalations.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives to boost quality and efficiency.
• Maintain proper documentation and work papers for audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/EA preferred).
• Strong knowledge of IRS rules and US federal and state tax compliance.
• Experience with tax preparation software.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills for clear feedback.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
