UK Individual Tax Specialist

About the role

You will join a specialised tax team responsible for delivering high‑quality UK individual tax services. The role offers autonomy, the chance to manage a portfolio of clients, and direct interaction with HMRC.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complex UK tax returns and tax computations for manager review.
• Conduct technical research using UK tax legislation, HMRC manuals and firm resources.
• Manage the end‑to‑end tax return process, including deadlines, work‑in‑progress tracking and fee‑generation opportunities.
• Engage directly with clients and HMRC, providing clear, timely communication.
• Mentor junior team members, deliver training sessions and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate across the tax service line and other service lines to share knowledge and improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Strong initiative and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent client‑relationship skills and professional communication.
• Solid understanding of UK tax legislation and HMRC guidance.
• Effective time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to mentor and support junior colleagues.
