Travel Goods Designer

About the role

We are looking for a creative Designer to develop innovative travel‑goods and lifestyle accessories for Samsonite’s global portfolio. The role involves turning market insights and fashion trends into compelling product concepts that meet our high standards of quality, functionality and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise and sketch new travel‑goods designs, researching fashion and market trends.
• Present design proposals and reports to the Design Head, incorporating feedback and required modifications.
• Develop prototypes and coordinate the fabrication of models or samples.
• Produce working drawings and specification sheets from initial sketches.
• Refine designs using working models to align with production constraints and evolving trends.
• Assess feasibility of design ideas considering appearance, safety, functionality, budget, production costs and market characteristics.

Required profile

• Design graduate (NIFT, NID or equivalent) with a focus on product/lifestyle accessory design.
• 5–7 years of experience, preferably in travel‑goods or lifestyle product design.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to local markets or factories.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
