Travel Consultant

About the role

The Travel Consultant is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Coimbatore. The role involves consulting with customers to understand their travel preferences, budgets and requirements, and recommending suitable tour packages and itineraries. The consultant manages end‑to‑end travel arrangements, from bookings and reservations to documentation, while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate information on destinations, pricing and policies.
• Resolve customer issues and maintain up‑to‑date records in booking systems.
• Follow up with customers and promote relevant travel offerings.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of tours.
• Handle bookings, reservations, ticketing and required documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in travel consulting and travel management to understand client needs and plan itineraries.
• Competence in travel arrangements and reservations.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work on‑site in Coimbatore and collaborate with team members.
• Prior experience in travel, tourism or hospitality preferred.
• Relevant certifications or a diploma/degree in Travel & Tourism is an advantage.
