Transportation Specialist, Central Operations

About the role

The Transportation Specialist joins Amazon's Network Operations Center (NOC) within Central Operations. The team acts as the single point of contact for managing route plans, scheduling, and payments for last‑mile stations across LATAM and AMET regions, ensuring smooth freight movement from vendors to fulfillment centers and onward to carrier hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and operations teams to resolve customer escalations and analyze historic performance.
• Drive improvements to visibility tools, methods, and processes to enhance data granularity for internal and external partners.
• Own customer issues, initiate SOPs, and propose process changes to streamline operations.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders such as CS, MM, LM, FC, Transportation Programs, and HR.
• Monitor network exceptions, identify trends, and support automation or process redesign initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Analytical mindset with proven problem‑resolution and mediation abilities.
• Leadership orientation with a bias toward action and a culture of ownership.
• Experience working in collaborative, remote or hybrid management environments.
