Transportation Specialist – Auction Services

About the role

The Transportation Specialist – Auction Services supports the Transportation department by coordinating commercial, residential, abandoned‑vehicle, lot‑sweep, and physical auction activities. Working on a shift from 11 am to 7 pm, you will act as a liaison between carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth vehicle movement and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging seller and lot‑sweep inquiries, managing transactions and communications for timely resolutions.
• Ensuring timely removal of vehicles from partner locations and coordinating with transporters, storage yards, and residential customers.
• Partnering with Major Accounts, Product & Technology, and Payments teams to improve processes and reconcile invoices.
• Identifying, vetting, and managing a network of quality transportation and storage providers.
• Using Salesforce to track services, adjust pricing, assign carriers, and monitor aged inventory.
• Negotiating cost‑effective contract rates with high‑volume carrier partners.
• Supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives and handling additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer service or transportation.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Sense of urgency, self‑motivation, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
