Transport Executive – Command Center

About the role

The Transport Executive will lead the Command Center operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods and optimal use of the fleet. Based in Bangalore, this role requires coordination across scheduling, dispatch, and compliance functions while working a rotational shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day transportation activities, including scheduling, route planning, and vehicle dispatch.
• Monitor shipment tracking to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Manage vehicle maintenance and repair schedules to maintain fleet efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations (DOT, safety standards) and implement driver safety protocols.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers and seek cost‑effective transportation options.
• Monitor power consumption and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze transportation expenses to uncover savings opportunities.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate drivers, supervisors, and logistics coordinators.
• Foster a culture of safety, responsibility, and high performance within the transportation team.

Required profile

• Any degree.
• Minimum 3 + years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management.
• Willingness to work a rotational shift and a 6‑day work week.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
