Procurement Practice Associate – Procurement Operations

About the role

Accenture is looking for a Procurement Practice Associate to support indirect purchases for its customers. Based in a delivery centre, you will work closely with team members and clients to execute procurement projects that drive better pricing, quality, delivery and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day buying and tactical sourcing services at the Procurement Operations centre.
• Support analysts and specialists, resolve complex tactical issues and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Apply tactical sourcing to generate savings on non‑routine purchases and ensure compliance with the Procurement Operations Playbook.
• Manage the full transaction lifecycle, from order creation to supplier invoicing, and address compliance issues with stakeholders.
• Educate team members on tactical procurement processes and assist with special projects as needed.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of procurement experience, preferably with FAR‑based purchasing.
• Strong sourcing capabilities and ability to develop category knowledge.
• Experience with procurement operations lifecycle, including PO creation, contracting and supplier invoicing.
• Solid quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and ability to multitask effectively.

Required skills

• SAP (experience a plus).
• FAR‑based purchasing knowledge.
• Proficiency with procurement systems for PO creation, processing, contracting and invoicing.
