Training Manager – TPD (Cochin)

About the role

We are looking for a Training Manager (TPD) based in Cochin to lead the learning and development initiatives for Birla Sun Life Insurance’s field sales force and distributor network. The role focuses on delivering induction, recruitment, and selling‑skills workshops that enhance product knowledge and drive territory productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the training architecture for employees and distributors.
• Conduct a variety of classroom and on‑site training programs covering recruitment, sales techniques and new product launches.
• Maintain accurate training records and updates in the STMS system.
• Collaborate with the sales team to build engagement and mind‑share with channel partners.
• Identify performance gaps with distributors, align interventions with BSLI objectives and provide competitive product insights.
• Drive self‑development through quarterly e‑learning courses and professional certifications.
• Participate in TPD projects and initiatives as assigned.

Required profile

• Experience delivering training to insurance sales staff and external distributors.
• Ability to manage large trainee groups (ratio up to 1:6) and coordinate across geographically dispersed locations.
• Strong communication skills to engage channel partners and internal stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Required skills

• STMS (training management system) proficiency.
