TIG & Arc Welder – Precision Metal Fabrication

About the role

Alfavita is seeking a skilled TIG‑arc Welder to join its Mumbai workshop on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality welds on a variety of industrial metals, following detailed drawings and strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision TIG and arc welding on carbon steel, stainless steel and other alloys according to technical specifications.
• Prepare workpieces, set up welding machines, and select appropriate consumables.
• Inspect welds for quality, conduct visual checks and measure dimensions using gauges and calipers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance of welding equipment and basic grinding and finishing tasks.
• Collaborate with fabricators, supervisors and quality‑control staff to meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven practical experience in TIG and arc welding of industrial metals.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols and fabrication instructions.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle moderate manual tasks.
• Trade certification, apprenticeship or relevant technical training is preferred.
