Threat Detection Engineer (Cybersecurity)

About the role

Neysa is seeking a proactive Threat Detection Engineer to join its Detection Engineering team in Chennai. You will design and implement detection use cases that protect the company’s digital assets, and conduct regular threat‑hunting activities to uncover hidden risks.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze device, application, and server logs to identify threat patterns and exploitability.
• Develop, test, and deploy custom detection rules based on the MITRE ATT&CK matrix and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Perform continuous threat hunting and integrate threat intelligence into detection logic.
• Collaborate with security platforms such as SIEM, EDR, and Threat Intel tools.
• Translate hunting findings into permanent detection logic for the security stack.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center with a focus on detection engineering.
• Relevant certification (any one): Blue Team Level 1 (BTL1), Certified Junior Detection Engineer (CJDE), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
• Builder mindset – prefers creating detection solutions over monitoring alerts.
