BMC Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a BMC Engineer to design, develop and maintain Baseboard Management Controller software for our advanced semiconductor products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BMC software solutions, including sensor monitoring and event‑log Web UI.
• Implement firmware functions to communicate with peripherals via SPI, I2C, UART and other protocols according to specifications.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing and debugging to ensure high‑quality, reliable BMC code.
• Create and update documentation such as design specifications, user manuals and release notes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing C++ applications on Linux.
• Proven experience with BMC product/stack software and server power‑management via BMC.
• Strong hardware‑debugging abilities and familiarity with low‑level protocols.

Required skills

• C++ programming on Linux.
• Hardware debugging.
• Low‑level protocols: I2C, PMBUS, SPI, UART, JTAG, GPIO.
• IPMI 2.0 (messaging, SDR, SEL, FRU, SOL, IPMB, LAN, KCS, event log, PEF, ME, NM, PECI).
• MCTP and PLDM.
• Experience porting BMC to multiple hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with AMI SPX/OneTree products.
