Test Engineer - Automation & Manual Testing

About the role

Agility, part of PWC Technologies, is hiring a Test Engineer in Hyderabad. The role covers both manual and automation testing, including regression testing, bug tracking and reporting, and requires flexibility to work on weekends and late hours when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents and give timely feedback
• Create detailed test cases, test scenarios and test plans, and prepare script execution reports
• Estimate, plan and coordinate testing activities, and liaise with developers and product managers
• Design, develop and run automation scripts, including data-driven scripts and regression testing after bug fixes
• Identify, record, document and track bugs, and monitor debugging results
• Track quality metrics such as defect density and open defect count
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology; a Master's degree is a plus
• Engineering background preferred
• 5+ years of experience in testing automation and manual testing
• Experience with defined testing processes and writing clear test cases and scenarios
• Ability to work weekends and late hours, and a proactive, team-oriented approach

Required skills

• Selenium suite (IDE, RC, WebDriver, Grid) and Selenium WebDriver with element locators and web driver methods
• Test automation frameworks: Protractor, Cucumber, BDD, JUnit, TestNG
• Java programming and OOPs concepts
• SQL and scripting; Python, Cypress and performance/security testing are a plus
• ISTQB certification is a plus
