About the role

UNICEF Gandhinagar is seeking a reliable Temporary Driver (G-2) to provide safe and professional transport services for staff, officials, and visitors. The role supports high‑volume travel, including field missions, airport transfers, and meetings with government partners.

Key responsibilities

• Drive UNICEF‑owned vehicles for staff, officials, and visitors, ensuring punctuality and safety.
• Meet personnel and guests at the airport and assist with basic visa and customs formalities when required.
• Transport mail, documents, and other items between offices and field locations.
• Maintain assigned vehicle(s) in good running condition, addressing minor repairs and routine servicing.
• Adhere to local driving rules, UNICEF protocols, and security requirements for entry into restricted government premises.

Required profile

• Valid Indian driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
• Ability to work flexible hours and handle last‑minute travel changes.
• Good knowledge of local traffic regulations and protocol for official engagements.
