Telecounselor (Telesales Specialist)

About the role

Vedantu is seeking a Telecounselor to join its fast‑growing edtech team in Bangalore. In this contract role you will engage prospective learners over the phone, understand their educational needs and guide them toward suitable Vedantu solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic counseling sessions with prospective clients to assess their requirements and propose tailored education products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships through clear, empathetic communication.
• Explain the benefits of Vedantu’s services, answer queries and overcome objections.
• Collaborate with sales, product and support teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
• Record all interactions accurately in the company’s CRM system.
• Stay updated on industry trends and product enhancements to improve counseling effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecounseling, customer service or a similar phone‑based role.
• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Empathetic, patient and able to work both independently and within a team.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
