Technical Engineer - Robotics

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Engineer – Robotics to maintain and optimise advanced robotic and automated manufacturing systems at our Jamnagar facility. The role ensures high equipment availability, supports production lines in welding, assembly, machining and material handling, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance on industrial robots and automated production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair robot controllers, end‑effectors, welding systems, grippers and peripheral devices.
• Carry out robot calibration, TCP adjustments, payload configuration and accuracy validation.
• Diagnose and resolve robot‑to‑CNC communication issues, I/O interfacing and signal synchronisation.
• Maintain PLC‑controlled automation systems, HMIs, sensors, safety circuits and motion‑control hardware.
• Monitor and service servo motors, drives, encoders and actuators.
• Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering and maintenance teams on Lean, TPM and Kaizen projects.
• Support installation, commissioning and start‑up of new robotic cells and automation upgrades.

Required profile

• Technical background in robotics, automation or mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with industrial robots and CNC‑integrated automation.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot PLC, HMI and motion‑control systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and familiarity with root‑cause analysis.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to participate in continuous‑improvement programmes.
