Technical Consultant – Observability Platform

About the role

Join Bosch Group as a Technical Consultant focused on the Observability Platform. You will act as the primary technical liaison for internal customers using Datadog and related APM tools, helping them achieve reliable, observable systems.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the technical contact for Bosch‑internal customers using Datadog.
• Lead discovery sessions, workshops, architecture reviews, and solution discussions.
• Translate business and operational requirements into practical observability solutions.
• Support customer onboarding, migrations, proof‑of‑concepts, and adoption initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance for complex monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting needs.
• Design scalable monitoring and observability strategies.
• Advise development and operations teams on best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners and service managers to improve the Datadog service offering.
• Evaluate emerging observability capabilities and AI‑driven operations solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, platform engineering, or observability‑focused roles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with at least one leading observability/APM platform: Datadog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic.
• Understanding of APM, runtime monitoring, distributed tracing, service reliability, and architecture/design.
• Experience with cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with containerized applications and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, observability standards, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Datadog certification and practical implementation experience.
