Technical Accounting Manager

About the role

Connor Group is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its specialist professional services team across major Indian cities. The role involves delivering high‑quality accounting advisory, transaction analysis and financial reporting solutions to both public and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Interact directly with clients, leading engagements and facilitating meetings.
• Analyze complex technical accounting issues, including IPOs, M&A, SPACs, divestitures and debt/equity placements.
• Interpret and apply US GAAP, IFRS, FASB and SEC regulations to client deliverables.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior staff while contributing to performance feedback.
• Collaborate with a diverse team to develop specialized expertise and drive automation projects.
• Strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in technical accounting, financial reporting or advisory.
• Strong analytical mindset with a curiosity for complex business problems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills for client and internal stakeholder interaction.
