Team Member - Pricing & Procurement

About the role

The Pricing & Procurement Team Member will support Adani Group’s logistics business by preparing freight quotations, negotiating carrier rates, and providing pricing expertise to the sales and operations teams. This role is central to ensuring competitive pricing and profitable lane management across ocean, road, and multimodal shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate freight quotations for ocean FCL/LCL, road, and multimodal shipments.
• Analyse market rates, carrier tariffs and surcharge structures to develop competitive pricing.
• Respond to RFQs and tenders in collaboration with the sales team within agreed turnaround times.
• Maintain the internal rate management system with up‑to‑date buy and sell rates.
• Evaluate lane‑level profitability and provide pricing recommendations to management.
• Source, negotiate and secure competitive rates from ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies and co‑loaders.
• Build and maintain relationships with carrier and agent networks (IATA, FIATA, WCA, etc.).
• Monitor market trends, capacity availability and seasonal rate fluctuations to optimise procurement strategies.
• Support business development with pricing inputs for client proposals and presentations.
• Participate in customer meetings and tender processes as the pricing subject‑matter expert.
• Produce regular pricing performance reports, margin analyses and win/loss tracking.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements and internal pricing policies.

• Effective communication skills for customer and carrier interactions.
