Team Leader Rates Data

About the role

Bloomberg’s Rates Data team is looking for a driven leader to expand and scale coverage of sovereign, local government, money‑market and municipal fundamentals. Based in Pune, you will shape data strategy, drive process improvements and ensure high‑quality, client‑ready data across global rates markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, attract and develop a high‑performing team of data professionals, fostering accountability and continuous feedback.
• Translate business and product requirements into a clear data‑modeling vision that supports interoperability across datasets and platforms.
• Design, implement and evolve data models, taxonomies, ontologies and controlled vocabularies to enable scalable multi‑domain data products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and subject‑matter experts to build robust, future‑proof data solutions.
• Establish data‑governance, quality standards and control frameworks, applying FAIR principles and client‑focused metrics.
• Build and optimise ETL workflows and automation to improve reliability, observability and time‑to‑delivery.
• Ensure data consistently meets or exceeds service‑level agreements and supports high‑quality client outcomes.

• Proven leadership experience managing data‑focused teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a track record of delivering data‑driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
