Team Lead – Research Integrity Screening

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking a Team Lead for its Research Integrity Screening team in Pune. The role oversees the pre‑publication assessment of manuscript submissions, ensuring that any integrity concerns are identified and resolved before publication.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a blended team of internal Integrity Screening Specialists, outsourced staff and third‑party vendors to evaluate manuscripts flagged for potential integrity issues.
• Manage workload distribution, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Develop and deliver training programmes to enhance screening expertise and maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with editorial, policy and indexing teams to align screening processes with organisational guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement through process audits, workflow optimisation and implementation of best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading teams within research, publishing or compliance environments.
• Strong understanding of research integrity principles and publication ethics.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to foster a culture of openness, transparency and collaboration.

Required skills

• Knowledge of research integrity screening methodologies.
• Familiarity with editorial policies and manuscript handling workflows.
