Team Lead - Data Support

About the role

Godrej Capital, part of the Godrej Industries Group, is hiring a Team Lead for its data support function in Mumbai. The role manages end-to-end reporting processes, including data extraction, transformation and presentation, and oversees a small team of analysts. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end reporting processes, including data extraction, transformation and presentation.
• Ensure overnight MIS jobs and dashboards run successfully, and troubleshoot failures in SQL and Python.
• Distribute workload across 4-6 analysts, set priorities and monitor SLA adherence.
• Clarify requests from sales, risk, operations, credit, audit, product and other teams, and decide which requests need immediate delivery, which can be automated and which should be declined or redirected.
• Handle business-critical support requests outside normal working hours, including late evenings, early mornings and holidays.
• Debug Python scripts, SQL queries and dashboards when issues arise.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, quantitative fields or related, not mandatory).
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in automated reporting and MIS.
• Prior exposure to tech/data support in odd working hours.
• Experience in the BFSI/NBFC/lending industry and knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance are a plus.

• Plus: BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
